The Punjab Agriculture Department (PAD), under a continued campaign against fake / adulterated pesticides on Friday, raided a village in Sialkot district and recovered fake pesticides worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
According to information, a team of the Pest Warning & Quality Control of Pesticide wing of the provincial agriculture department raided a shop in 'Manday Ki Goraya' village in District Sialkot on a tip off and recovered fake pesticides. The team took the dealer Dildar into custody and handed him over to the police under the clause 21 of the Pesticide Ordinance.
A spokesman said the government would not tolerate heinous business of fake pesticides and will protect interests of the growers at all cost.
