The top court of the country has fixed a petition filed by chief executive officer (CEO) of cash-starved Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for Monday against a decision of Sindh High Court (SHC) which barred him from performing his duties.
The SHC decision came during the hearing of a petition filed by general secretary of the airline's Senior Staff Association.
The PIA CEO challenged the SHC decision in the apex court.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed would take up the case for hearing on January 21.
The petitioner said he has played a key role to make the national airline a profitable institution.
