Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter on Sunday demanded of the federal government to start flour supply without any further delay to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Punjab to avoid flour crisis situation in the province.
The demand was made by Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter chairman, Muhammad Iqbal and Naeem Butt, the PFMA former central chairman and group leader during an emergency FPMA KP executive body meeting here, which attended by the association members and millers were present in the meeting.
Naeem Butt while addressing the meeting said flour is available in sufficient quantity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He praised the KP flour mills for ensuring uninterrupted supply and availability of flour in open market despite imposition of ban on wheat transportation in the province from Punjab.
He asked the federal government to start flour supply to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Punjab to avoid flour crisis in the province. He informed KP flour mills was supplied wheat only 40 per cent against 70 per cent wheat supply to mills in Punjab, which has caused pressure like situation on supply of flour in KP.
