Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday directed the chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to hold 'open house' every Monday to address the difficulties of industry.
The Prime Minister directed this to the chairman FBR during a meeting with a delegation of newly elected representatives of chambers of commences who called on him. Those members of the delegation included Muhammad Ahmed, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, Malik Mohammad Ashraf, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce, Rana Muhammad Sikandar Azam, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce, Mian Umar Saleem, Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce, Ali Hussan Asghar, Lahore Chamber of Commerce, Mir Naveed Baloch, Gwadar Chamber of Commerce, Shahid Hussain, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce, Rizwan Ali, Gilgit Chamber of Commerce, and others.
The delegation presented proposals to the Prime Minister with regard to sales tax refund, supply of gas and electricity to the industrial units, revival of sick industrial units, increase in exports and special economic zones.
The Prime Minister directed the chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to hold open house every Monday so that he himself could attend to the problems of industrialists.
The Primer also stated that the government's priority is to strengthen the country's industrial base. He appreciated the delegation's interest in investment in information technology, Halal food and medicines, and held out assurance to them of providing every facility.
