The Lahore High Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing of a petition filed by Maryam Nawaz seeking removal of her name from Exit Control List (ECL) till first week of February on the request of her counsel to prepare his arguments.
In her petition, Maryam Nawaz contended that her father was allowed to go abroad on account of his critical health condition. She said her father had not regained his health so far. She was in a dire need to go abroad to attend to and inquire after the health of her ailing father and sought one-time permission to travel abroad.
Earlier, the NAB prosecutor had opposed the petition and return of passport to Maryam which she had surrendered to the court. The prosecutor said brothers of the petitioner and other family members were already in London to look after her father.
