The Lahore administration on Thursday continued with the crackdown against profiteers in the provincial capital.
A report released by the price control committee revealed that price magistrates visited 248 points in the city to monitor prices of essential items. During the inspection they spotted 43 violations and thus imposed fine to the tune of Rs 64,500.
In this connection, District Commissioner Lahore Danish Azal said that they also arrested 16 shop owners for overcharging and cases were registered against them.
