The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives and Punjab Information Technology Board have agreed to initiate implementation of Intelligent Project Automation System (IPAS) to improve government businesses in internal processes and establish efficiency and transparency.
Secretary Planning Zafar Hasan and Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board Azfar Manzoor, on behalf of their respective organizations, signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) Thursday.
Under the MoU, both organizations agreed to initiate implementation of IPAS for Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives. Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, Member Science & Technology Hussain Abidi and senior officials from both sides participated in the event.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Secretary Planning Zafar Hasan said that the IPAS will improve workflow and government businesses in the internal processes, enhance productivity and reduce operational risks, which will ultimately establish efficiency and transparency. It also includes AS-IS analysis, requirement gathering, communication & coordination, business process improvement/re-engineering, and IPAS development/customization, trainings and on-site implementation, etc, he said.
The program partners envision improving efficiency and providing state-of-the-art IPAS solution to the ministry. This is being done by collaboration between both organizations that share the same vision. This program will enhance the core business functions of the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives.
