Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Secretary information Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that if Imran Khan wants to crack down on those who put their vested interests first, profited at the cost of national interest and public welfare, and hoarded to maximize their gains, he should look no further than himself and the ATMs he has surrounded himself with.
In a statement, Marriyum said the series of new eyewash measures announced by Imran are a mockery of people's misery and an insult of the intelligence of the smart people Pakistanis are. She said it is offensive to assume that the people of Pakistan do not understand when Imran is doing nothing but lip-service.
She said, "If Imran is really serious about taking practical and productive steps to solve national crisis, he should resign and get rid of the corrupt, hoarding profiteers in his cabinet. The people can get any semblance of relief only through elimination of this disease of a government and its head".
The former Information Minister said it is a universal fact that the fish stinks from the head therefore to rid the country from all these extortionists, land grabbers and hoarders, the country will need to get rid of Imran. Pakistan cannot bear the load of Imran's corruption, incompetence and lies anymore, she added.
This government, she said has left no stone unturned to make people's lives more and more miserable with every passing day. All, these illegal profiteers and hoarders are Imran's ATMs who run his kitchen, therefore he can never reprimand them, in fact he aids them in their corrupt ways.
She said the report by Transparency International has blown the lid off PTI government's corruption and no amount of circumventing can deny this reality.-PR
