Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar here on Monday inaugurated Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation Hospital equipped with all modern facilities here at Kot Lakhpat Jail where mentally retarded prisoners, women and children will be extended healthcare facilities.

The Governor Sarwar also inaugurated water filtration plant for prisoners.

Sarwar along with provincial ministers Sibtain Khan and Mian Khalid Mahmood on the occasion inspected various sections of the jail including 'Langar Khana' (mess) and also directed the jail authorities to ensure provision of medical and other facilities to the prisoners. Former provincial minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui and others were present. Talking to media on this occasion, Governor Sarwar said that facilities at Kot Lakhpat Jail are a model for us and their scope will be extended to other jails of Punjab as well.
