The Faisalabad Tax Bar Association elected its new office-bearers on Monday. According to an announcement of the Faisalabad Tax Bar Association, Sheikh Muhammad Yousaf has been elected as President of Faisalabad Tax Bar Association and Mian Muhammad Afzal as General Secretary. Other office-bearers including vice-president, finance secretary and executive members of the tax bar were also elected.

A tough contest was witnessed between the two groups during the election. The panel of Sheikh Muhammad Yousaf Advocate made a clean sweep in the election. The elections were supervised by chief election commissioner of the Faisalabad Tax Bar Association where 336 votes were polled out of the total 371 votes. Only two votes were declared invalid. The elections were held peacefully from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. The police were also deployed in the area for security measures.

President Sheikh Muhammad Yousaf Advocate got 199 votes against 135 votes of his opponent candidate Iftakhar Khan Advocate and the Secretary General Main Muhammad Afzal got 198 votes against 135 votes of his opponent candidate.

Other office-bearers of Faisalabad Tax Bar Association are Ashafaq Ahmad Naz, vice president, Suleman Rasheed, finance secretary, and Irshad Ahmed Mian, Inayat Ali Chheena, Yaseen Rai, Hafiz Muhammad Ahmed, Rabeel Safdar Tatla, Murtaz Naeem as executive members.

Sheikh Muhammad Yousaf and Main Muhammad Afzal thanked the lawyers/ITP/CA community for showing confidence over them and assured to make efforts for the welfare of the community.
