On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,277. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.508 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,530.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.783 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 1.641 billion, Silver PKR 760.437 million, Crude Oil PKR 718.909 million, DJ PKR 546.915 million, Platinum PKR 491.587 million, Natural Gas PKR 253.906 million, Palladium PKR 136.530 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 99.391 million, SP500 PKR 50.749 million, Copper PKR 19.095 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 6.660 million. In agriculture commodities 20 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 10.633 million were traded.
