Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) has issued directions for verification of degrees of engineers in order to regulate them in BPS-17, said sources. PEPCO has asked the Higher Education Commission to verify the degrees of all the engineers recruited in BPS-17. PEPCO has also instructed LESCO to obtain letters from Pakistan Engineering Council in this regard.

PEPCO has further instructed to expel the employees having received severe punishments. However, the regularization policy has been changed for those having received lesser punishments would be considered for promotion.
