KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Wednesday announced to construct Mastak-Bara road at cost of Rs 7 billion in Khyber district. Speaking at a public gathering in Khyber district, the CM said the government accorded priority to tribal districts that's why he as CM had undertook more visits to tribal districts than other areas of the province.
He said that the government was pursuing multi-pronged strategy for achieving socio-economic uplift of tribal districts and spending hefty funds to the tune of Rs 83 billion on its development during the current fiscal year.
The CM announced to construct Mastak-Bara road at cost of Rs 7 billion which would boost trade and economic activities besides linking people of the adjoining areas. He also announced to restore suspended Khasadar force in Khyber district.
Similarly, he added that Imran Khan is the country's first prime minister who had paid visits to tribal districts on number of occasions.
He announced that in February construction works on all demolished schools would be started and with beginning of Insaf Rozgar Scheme, youth community of the area would be able to set up their personnel businesses.
"Priority will be given to locals in of granting of mineral lease, found in the ex-tribal region in addition eligible locals will be posted in all public offices", the CM remarked.
CM Mehmood Khan said that 29000 Khasadar and Levies forces personnel had been merged in police and will leave no stone unturned to bring progress in the merged districts.
Spokesperson of CM on merged districts Ajmal Wazir said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, corruption had been rooted out.
