Javed Jaffrey who is one of the Bollywood celebrities to raise his voice against the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) in India. He has now been called traitor by a troll, and it didn’t go down well with the actor.

He shared the article and wrote, “Resolution moved in Europe against CAA.” Replying to his tweet, someone wrote that he should move to Europe. “Why don’t you move to Europe. We don’t need traitors in our nation”.

Slamming the troll, Javed replied, “Your nation? Last time I read the constitution it spoke of democracy, equality and right to dissent... Wouldn’t know if you have made any changes privately though, kindly update”.

Time and again, Jaffrey has opened up about his views on the CAA and The National Register of Citizens (NRC). He has been participating in the anti-CAA protests in Mumbai. He was among the celebs and scholars who signed an open letter expressing their solidarity with students protesting CAA.

This is not the first time he has faced hatred and trolling for expressing his views. Being a Muslim in India, he has received constant hatred and trolling on social media.
