Test run: OLMT consumes Rs 19.2 million electricity

The ongoing test run of Orange Line Metro Train has consumed electricity worth Rs19.2 million, provided by the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) through GIS grid stations at two different locations.

Interestingly, LESCO is unable to collect bill from the Punjab government, as the government believes that it is liability of the contractor to pay the bill because the project has not been handed over to it. However, the contractor is also not responding to the LESCO demand, said the sources.
