Core committee of United Business Group (UBG) has endorsed the nomination of former President FPCCI, Senior Vice President SAARC Chamber and Chairman United Business Group (UBG) Iftikhar Ali Malik for seat of next President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The core committee says that Iftikhar Ali Malik has represented Pakistan for 29 years in the SAARC Chamber of Commerce as Senior Vice President and has played a role in bringing the SAARC Secretariat to Pakistan and building the SAARC Chamber's State of the Art Building in Islamabad.
The core committee meeting was held at the residence of General Secretary of UBG Zubair Tufail. Members of the core committee greeted Iftikhar Ali Malik for his nomination for President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and expressed their confidence in his leadership.
It was decided that the next meeting of the UBG Central Committee will be held in Lahore on Saturday, February 29, in which important decisions will be taken and responsibilities will be given to the members. Speaking on the occasion Patron-in-Chief of UBG, S M Muneer said UBG is strong in all provinces and continues its activities with even greater strength.
He said that UBG has a consortium of highly educated young entrepreneurs and responsibilities would be bestowed to them in the coming years. He said that the performance of our group makes us popular among our voters.
He expressed hope that after taking over charge of President SAARC chamber Iftikhar Malik will take all possible steps to boost Pakistani trade in the region. Iftikhar Ali Malik said that he will continue to strive to stabilise the country's economy, eliminate unemployment through encouraging youth of the country to becoming a business owner while continuing his mission to increase regional cooperation in South Asia.
