Traffic movement suspended on highways

Traffic halted at different city roads and highways for expressing the solidarity with Kashmiri brothers and people came out from their workplaces, offices, trade bodies, factories and commercial centres for solidarity on Wednesday morning.

Several rallies from different parts of the city were brought out for expressing complete solidarity with Kashmiris suffering from brutalities of Indian forces in held valley since long. The participants of the rallies were chanting slogan "Kashmir Benega Pakistan" after passing through different areas and were assembled at Kutchary chowk where different speakers addressed the protest meeting held under the auspices of district administration. A large number of people belonging to different walks of life including members of the civil society, journalists, lawyers and members of business community attended the meeting for expressing solidarity with Kashmiris struggling for liberation from the Indian yoke

Speakers while addressing the rallies urged upon the International community to force Indian government to lift the curfew and releasing Kashmiri leaders immediately. They said that United Nations should play its instrumental role in stopping brutalities and serious human rights violations being commenting by the Indian troops in held valley and force Indian government to lift curfew immediately enabling the people to get food and other articles of daily use.
