Export of towel textiles increased to $378.846 million in July-Dec 2019-20, up by 3.16 percent, official figures say.

Increase in towel export now stands at $ 378.846 million in July-Dec 2019-20 from $378.017 million in July-Dec 2018-19, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics shows.

Pakistan exported, in term of volume, 91,120 metric tons of towel textiles during July-Dec 2019-20 up by 12 percent or 1714metric tons from 89,406 metric tons in July-Dec 2018-19.

The country's towels export however reduced by 4 percent or $2.308 million to $61.361 million in Dec 2019 from $63.669 million in Dec 2018. Towel textiles export quantity declined by 1 percent or 115 metric tons to 14,633 metric tons in Dec 2019 from 14,748 metric tons.
