The brightest ones are put in detention!

15 Feb, 2020

The school of love has strange ways: the brightest ones are put in detention. How ironic it is that those bureaucrats who had qualified the test to become eligible for promotion in grade 21-20 have been deprived promotion, whereas others, who had not passed the test (which was prerequisite) were considered and promoted as per a news published in an English-language newspaper dated 28.01.2020.

The action of the Central Selection Board is like the proverb: "penny wise pound foolish." Perhaps may be due to the reasons that the rules framed and amended in the year 2019 for grade 21-20 were so ambiguous and anomalous that Central Selection Board could not decide for promotion. Surprisingly, the Central Selection Board could also not sort out any modus operandi of the framed rules.

It appears that such rules and regulations are framed by those who join the government to gain power through backdoor or through some particular lobby and their aim and objective in framing the rules are often aimed at obliging their kith and kin; particularly the 'inefficient class'.

It is a known fact that whenever the deserving, devoted, eligible people are deprived of their legal and legitimate rights through an encroachment they react passively. They suffer from depression, mental agony, and live their lives with a sense of insecurity and injustice. This type of bureaucrats are always honest, hardworking and dedicated to their work and conduct in the utmost interest of the country.

The PTI government always speak about transparency and merit. Unfortunately, however, the situation is quite different.
