KP U-21 Inter-Tehsil Games begins in Haripur

Tehsil Ghazi clinched the first gold medal after defeating strong Haripur Tehsil in the final of the Tug of War event part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U-21 Inter-Tehsil Games, which got under way at Haripur Sports Complex on Tuesday with 252 players from three Tehsils Ghazi, Khapur and Haripuri are taking part.

Former Provincial Minister Yousaf Ayub Khan, DC Captain Nadeem Nasir (retired), Assistant Commissioner Ehsan Hassan, District Sports Officer Ahmed Zaman, Member Pakistan Hockey Federation Council Ch. Haq Nawaz, Taimur Khan, Haripur Press Club Presidents Malik Faisal Iqbal, Irfan Mubariq, Aftab Aziz, international gymnastic and head coach Riaz Ahamd and Asif Khan were also present.

Besides, the tug of war, the players are taking part in athletic, football, badminton, kabaddi, volleyball wherein it continued for two-day. The winners' teams of all six games teams would represent Haripur in the forthcoming Inter-District U-21 Games to be starting from March 3-6, 2020 in which a total of 35 districts of KP including merged districts will be taking part.
