Amid US President Donald Trump's visit to India, clashes broke out on Monday in New Delhi between two groups over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) which led to the death of a police officer.
Hundreds of people supporting the CAA clashed with those opposing it. The two groups have been clashing since Sunday. The police used tear gas and smoke grenades to disperse the crowd of thousands of protesters in the capital city.
A petrol pump as well as a shrine was also set on fire by the protesters.
