The Government of Punjab rejected on Tuesday ailing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's plea to extend bail petition.
In a presser today, Punjab minister for Law Raja Basharat announced that the government had decided not to accept Nawaz's plea. The minister said that Nawaz has been given 16 weeks to seek treatment in London, yet he was never admitted in a hospital. He said no specific details regarding Nawaz's medical treatment in London was shared with them.
He said they will be writing to the federal government in this regard and it will be now up to them to decide the future course of action regarding Nawaz.
