The federal government, the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations & Coordination, Sindh government, the provincial health department and others have been made respondents in the petition.

The petitioners requested the court to issue directives to the respondents to initiate immediate inquiry into the matter and submit their respective reports before this court with an undertaking to ensure the availability of standard masks for proper fight against the deadly coronavirus.

The petitioners also prayed the court to direct the respondents to take appropriate measures to make and formulate law for immediate availability of standard masks.
