Corruption virus has weakened country's foundation: Buzdar

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that 'coronavirus' of corruption has weakened the country's foundations. "Elimination of corruption is the priority agenda of the incumbent government, as the people remain deprived of even the basic necessities of life due to corruption of the last governments," the CM said, adding: "Even the children are fully aware of the corruption of the corrupt rulers and the only way to move forward is to eliminate corruption at every level."

In a statement, the chief minister emphasized that across-the-board accountability will help the country to achieve its destination. The incumbent government is the most transparent in the country's history, he reiterated.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has destroyed the idols of corruption and the PTI government is fully committed to eradicating corruption under his leadership, he said.

Moreover, Buzdar has expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in a traffic accideent near Faizpur Interchange.Extending sympathies to the bereaved families, he prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed souls in eternal peace.
