The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday told the sub-committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat that a total of 1,000 cases of exam paper leak had been reported so far.
A meeting of the sub-committee held under the chair of Member National Assembly (MNA) Rana Iradat Sharif Khan at the Parliament House. The meeting discussed the issue of paper leakage in the National Testing Service (NTS) exams in various districts of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Sahibzada Sabghatullah informed the committee regarding paper leakage in the examinations due to incompetence of the NTS. He said that the incompetence of the testing agencies was destroying the future of the children.
The sub-committee convener, Sharif, raised the question about the number of total testing agencies registered in Pakistan.
An official of the Establishment Division said that the list of the total registered testing agencies was not available. He said that testing agencies were registered under the Companies Act of 2017 and regulating their services was the job of the PPRA. The official said that the services of the testing companies were being acquired through tender. The convener demanded that a list of all testing agencies be provided at the next meeting.
