On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,006. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.408 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,630.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.071 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 645.283 million, crude oil PKR 561.365 million, DJ PKR 370.131 million, currencies through COTS PKR 318.318 million, platinum PKR 109.315 million, silver PKR 99.412 million, SP500 PKR 81.555 million, palladium PKR 74.989 million, copper PKR 53.784 million, natural gas PKR 17.328 million and Brent crude oil PKR 5.880 million. In agriculture commodities 15 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 7.334 million were traded.
