Suspects in Punjab: 71 tested negative, one under observation: Chohan

Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said on Friday that 72 coronavirus suspects were admitted to the hospitals of Punjab out of which 71 were test negative while only one case was under observation. The minister was responding to the point of order raised by PPP parliamentary leader Syed Hassan Murtaza in which he pointed out that people were facing difficulties in conducting tests of coronavirus in government hospitals.

The minister said that people should refrain from spreading rumours. Law Minister Punjab Raja Basharat while refuting the claims of Hassan Murtaza said the government had arranged facilities for conducting coronavirus tests at all district and tehsil level hospitals. The coronavirus testing center was established in Lahore.
