Over five cases of car lifting, four cases of various kinds of theft, and three cases of kidnapping were reported at various police stations of the federal capital during this past week.
In the same period, two under-trial prisoners allegedly involved in a triple murder case were killed during a shootout with the Murree police in the limits of Bhara Kahu Police Station.
The prisoners had escaped from Murree's civil court during an attack allegedly carried out by ttheir companions on Wednesday During the last week, majority of crime was reported within the limits of Golra, Ramna, Shehzad Town, and Karachi Company police stations.
Two cases of auto theft and one case of kidnapping were reported at the Golra Police Station. Muhammad Khursheed lodged a complaint with the Golra police that unidentified persons had kidnapped his daughter. Auto thieves stole a car bearing registration number RIY-7212 belonging to Aamer Mushtaq of value Rs 280,000. Thieves also lifted a car bearing registration number VX-216 belonging to Asad Mehmood valued at Rs 1,200,000.During the last week, one case each of robbery and kidnapping were registered at Shehzad Town Police Station. Asad Masood informed Shehzad Town police that accused Danish and another person had kidnapped his sister.
Another, Shoukat Abbasi lodged a complaint with Shehzad Town Police Station that accused Fatima had stolen gold ornament of value Rs 800,000. In the period under review, Karachi Company police registered one case of auto theft and a case of pick pocketing.
Auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number SN-933 belonging to Adnan Khalid of value Rs 35,000. Another, Zahid Mehmood registered a complaint with the Karachi Company Police Station that the accused Ferzoz stole cash Rs 126,000 from his pocket.
Ramna police registered two cases of motor vehicle theft. Motor vehicle thieves stole a car bearing registration number GV-986 belonging to Dawood Khan of value Rs 1,100,000. Thieves also lifted a car bearing registration number LZM-0043 belonging to Ghadar Gull of value Rs 1,100,000. During last week, Industrial Area Police Station registered one case of robbery, while Tarnol police registered one case of kidnapping.
