The top leaders of the business community at national level from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have joined hands for waging a joint struggle for promotion of business activities and resolution of the problems faced by the community in the province.
The two leaders of the business community, former Senators Haji Ghulam Ali and Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, both former presidents of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), ending their 10-year-long differences, have joined hands.
Formal announcement of the rapprochement between them was made at a function jointly hosted by the two groups of the business community wherein all the important leaders of the business community were present.
Addressing the function, both leaders of the business community announced to join hands for waging joint struggle for the resolution of the problems faced by businessmen and promotion of commercial and industrial activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On this occasion, Haji Ghulam Ali announced that FPCCI has agreed on 50 percent cut in the membership fee of the chambers, which would be refunded or adjusted soon. Those present on the occasion included former presidents of SCCI, Liaquat Ahmad Khan, Malik Niaz Ahmad, Adeel Rauf, Riaz Arshad, Faiz Mohammad, Zahid Shinwari, Zulfikar Ali, Ghazanfar Bilour and the incumbent president, Engineer Anwar Pervez.
