Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is facing one of the "gravest crises" in its recent memory and the spread of coronavirus poses a serious threat that needs to be fought at all levels. The message of the former premier Sharif, who is currently in London, was tweeted by his daughter Maryam Nawaz.
"Fervent prayers for his beloved nation from Mohammad Nawaz Sharif. Asked me to convey directly to the people of Pakistan," Maryam said. "Pakistan is facing one of the gravest crises in her [sic] recent memory. The spread of coronavirus poses a serious threat that needs to be fought at all levels. In the hour of trial, we must take precaution, follow the medical guidelines and pray to Allah SWT for His protection," she tweeted her father's message.
"Heartfelt condolences to the families of those who have succumbed to the epidemic and earnest prayers for early recovery of the affected. May Allah protect us all. Ameen. Fee Amaan Allah," Sharif said further in his message tweeted by Maryam.
