In a video on social media, the Agra, Uttar Pradesh, native termed him player of the tournament. "Shadab Khan was the player of the tournament for me. Even though he took only eight wickets, but he batted really well, so well done to Shadab and our Adaab to you," he said. Furthermore, former Test batsman also praised Pakistan T20I captain Babar Azam for his consistency. "Babar Azam has been absolutely brilliant. He is scoring runs consistently and was the highest run-scorer in this season." Babar, who played for Karachi Kings, was the leading runs getter of the HBL PSLV with 345 runs to his name an average of 49.28. The 42-year-old also praised Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for timely decision regarding the tournament amid coronavirus outbreak. "PCB did a really good job of changing the rules,’’ he said. "They got rid of the playoffs and instead decided to stage two semi-finals in a single day in order to finish the tournament as soon as possible. However, it was unfortunate that it got postponed," he said.
