Former Senior Vice President (SVP) Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Shaukat Ahmed on Friday asked K-Electric (KE) to withdraw the industrial support packages adjustment (ISPA) charges from July-2019 to December-2019 and adjust the amount in upcoming bills without ISPA charges.
In a statement, he said the consumer of KE bill for the month of March 2020 which includes recovery of ISPA charges from July 2019 to December 2019 is illegal and unethical and against the law.
In this testing time and challenging situation caused by COVID-19, he said the city is almost on the verge of lockdown, the economic and production activity is almost at halt and an economic war-like situation is ahead. In this crunch moment, we cannot afford any mistake or miscalculation of any public sector institute. "These charges are past and closed transaction and we have already sold/exported our products without taking this amount into account," he said.
