Pakistan imported $374.907 million of pulses during July-Feb 2019-20, which is higher by 5.13 percent, official figures say.
Increase in pulses import comes to the tune of $18.289 million in July-Feb 2019-20 from $356.618 million in July-Feb 2018-19, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics shows.
Up by 14.47 percent or 95,426 metric tonnes, the country's import of pulses went up to 754,885 metric tonnes in July-Feb 2019-20 from 659,459 metric tonnes in July-Feb 2018-19.
Surging by 96 percent or $30.914 million, pulses import stands at $63.139 million in Feb 2020 comparing to the commodity import of $32.225 million in 2019.
Volume of pulses import soared by 81.36 percent or 52873 metric tonnes to 117,861 metric tonnes in Feb 2020 from 64,988 metric tonnes in Feb 2019.
