Speculators increased their net short dollar position in the latest week, according to calculations by Reuters and US Commodity Futures Trading Commission data released on Friday.
The value of the net short dollar position, derived from net positions of International Monetary Market speculators in the yen, euro, British pound, Swiss franc and Canadian and Australian dollars, rose to $8.88 billion in the week ended March 24, compared with a net short of $8.27 billion the previous week.
