The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has set up a control room to monitor uninterrupted electricity supply to quarantine centres in the city. Staff at the control room will perform duty in three shifts.
LESCO sources told that the Power Ministry has directed to stop load shedding on high losses feeders up to 6th of April. Therefore, an emergency plan is being carried out to keep the power supply intact during this period, they added.
Under the emergency plan, maintenance work has been called off throughout the LESCO region with immediate effect and a ban has been imposed on permission for supply shut down.
