With three matches – two semifinals and final – were still to be played, the tournament came to an uncertain end this year. It was reported earlier, that the board is looking forward to end the tournament in November if things return to normal, but if situation remain unstable, the decision over the fate of the tournament would be a hard pill to swallow. With viewpoints divided over whether it is to be rescheduled or aborted, with the winner decided on the basis of league-stage standings, the board, currently finding it’s self in hot water. It would have been easier for the board, if they had clear guidelines for such scenarios. But it seems like that is not the case here. Now with uncertain situation, reports suggest that franchises owners are divided on the above mention situation. Multan Sultans, who topped the group, want to be crowned at PSL2020 champions over their position on the points table, but other three franchises – Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalanders – are looking to settle the situation by competing in the ground. At the moment, sports activities around the world are postponed due to the deadly virus and the decision over PSL conclusion is not expected in coming days.
