New York's Empire State Building was turned into a blaring red beacon on Monday night, to honor medical workers fighting coronavirus.
The building lit up featuring red and white flashes symbolic of an ambulance beacon. The nightly light show will continue through the course of the ongoing pandemic, building's owner, Empire State Realty Trust said.
“Starting tonight through the COVID-19 battle, our signature white lights will be replaced by the heartbeat of America with a white and red siren in the mast for heroic emergency workers on the front line of the fight,” the building’s official Twitter handle said.
