Sindh Bar Council (SBC) has established "Lawyers Relief Fund" in view of present crisis caused by coronavirus and sought Rs50 million grant from Federal and Sindh governments for this fund.
According to statement on Wednesday, SBC Vice Chairman Haider Imam Rizvi and Chairman Executive Committee of SBC Shafqat Rahim Rajput said that coronavirus has impacted hundreds of thousands of people in the world and Pakistan is also badly affected by this pandemic.
In view of this situation, SBC has established Lawyers Relief Fund and sought Rs50 million fund from federal and provincial governments for it, they said.
They appealed to Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief Minister Sindh to cooperate with SBC, which has 38,000 lawyers as its members.
