Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has expressed his grief over the death of Dr Abdul Qadir Soomro who contracted the novel coronavirus.
The doctor passed away on Monday after his condition deteriorated. Qadir tested positive for coronavirus last week and was put on a ventilator a couple of days ago, local media reported. He became the first health worker to die in Sindh due to coronavirus.
Some of the doctor's colleagues and friends doubt he contracted the infection from any of his patients in Gulshan-i-Hadeed.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the Sindh CM express his condolences and said 'The best tribute we can pay this frontline hero is to continue fighting this deadly virus'.
