Punjab School Education Minister Murad Raas on Wednesday asked parents not to deposit the fees on old vouchers and directed private schools to issue new fees vouchers with 20 percent discount as announced by the Punjab government.

After an event, he told media that private schools had earned a lot of money from fees but they were not ready to give concession to the parents for just two months in those difficult times. He requested the private school owners that they should facilitate the people.

He also said that students of class 1 to VIII should be promoted to next class if they complete the summer vacation homework.

While answering a question regarding irregularities in the Punjab Education Foundation, the minister said they knew from the very first day that there were many problems in the PEF model.
