Six bogies of a freight train were derailed near Baloch Colony, causing suspension of cargo train service for at least five hours, however no injury or loss of life reported. Pakistan Railways officials said that the down train was coming from Lahore when it met with the incident.
Following the incident, PR relief teams reached at the site and cleared the track. The derailment caused suspension of cargo train service for about five hours. Passenger train service has already been suspended in the wake of fast spreading COVID-19. However, the freight trains are operating across the country.
