'Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme': Re1+tax to be charged on each SMS service

In view of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, SMS service under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) "Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme" for each SMS sent on 8171 only Rs1+tax shall be charged, said a press release issued on Thursday.

This nominal fee is being jointly charged by cellular mobile operators (CMOs) and the NADRA to meet operational cost of the service.

Furthermore, the PTA is extending full support to the BISP, without any financial benefit, in its efforts to reach out to people waiting for help through mobile technology.-PR
