The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is taking steps for home delivery of the essential food items like fruits and vegetables etc through online app to the people. This was stated during a meeting of the Agriculture & Livestock Department held here Sunday with the Provincial Minister Mohibullah Khan in the chair. Beside, Secretary Agriculture & Livestock, Israr Khan, Additional Secretary Kabir Afridi, Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Murtaza Shah, Director Generals (DGs) of the various wings and other officers attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed prices of the essential food items and the minister was briefed in detail regarding steps taken by the Agriculture & Livestock Department for combating the current situation.
The provincial minister directed the officials of various wings of his departments for guaranteeing essential food items including meat, vegetables, fruits, milk, fish and etc to people during situation arisen of the coronavirus in the province. The provincial minister was told that district officers are visiting butchers, milk and fruit & vegetable shops and markets to review the situation. However, there is no shortage of milk, fruit and vegetable, cattle's fodder and medicines in the market and being available on officially fixed rates to the people.
