Sindh reported on Monday 41 new coronavirus cases taking the total number of cases in the province to 1452.

The province has so far tested 13840 people for coronavirus. 419 patients have recovered from the deadly virus so far. The province has lost 31 people to the virus.

In a presser today, Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah refuted that Sindh imposed the lockdown thoughtlessly. He said he did not have experience in dealing with a pandemic neither did his close aides, adding that they learned from the world's experience.

The CM further said the only way to deal with a pandemic is to take action. "We started working on the issue when the first coronavirus case was reported. We formed a taskforce, took help from wherever we could," the chief minister said.

Raising some grievances with the federal government,Shah said that on March 13, the Sindh health department sent a comprehensive list to the Centre of things needed and they haven’t got the supplies in the numbers they needed.

He said the only way forward in this crisis is a national action plan and national narrative on the coronavirus.
