Chief Secretary Sindh, Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has said that the industries that are now allowed to open have to ensure the implementation of SOPs.
Speaking at meeting with a delegation of business community including Zubair Motiwala along with representatives of Karachi Chamber of Commerce, Korangi Industrial Area, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he said that industrialists would have to give undertaking in respect of SOPs.
Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah said that he was aware of the problems of industrialists.
Mumtaz Ali Shah said the lockdown has born positive results in preventing coronavirus. The safety of the workers in the industries will be ensured, he added.
The manufacturer will be obliged to provide all details of the laborers. He said that the corona virus is a new epidemic.
He said that many precautions are being followed in the industry but the SOPs of the corona virus are completely different, to these SOPs. Minister for Industry and Commerce, Jam Ikramullah Dhariju said that the industrialists would send online applications to the department, which would be allowed within 24 hours after the inspection.
