Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan has announced that Rs 1,493 million (1.49Bn) have been deposited in Prime Minister Imran Khan's COVID Relief Fund.
In a tweet on Thursday, the PTI senator said that in last 15 days, Pakistanis have deposited Rs 1,493 million (1.49Bn). He lauded the citizens for their generosity in contributing towards a great cause.
"With your contributions you have inspired many others to come forward and contribute," he tweeted.

Earlier in April, the PM announced the opening of the relief fund. He also said that those depositing money in the fund would be given relaxation in taxes. The money would be utilised to provide food and cash to 15 million poor and needy people, the premier said.
To participate, citizens can send their donations to account number 4162786786 at the National Bank of Pakistan, Main Branch Karachi. For further details, citizens can also visit the official website set up for the relief fund.
