Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his grief over the death of several Pakistanis abroad who have lost their lives to the novel coronavirus.
In a tweet from his official Twitter handle on Friday, the PM said that he is saddened by the countless Pakistanis who died after contracting coronavirus, many of them while serving 'in the frontline of the global war against COVID-19'.
The premier also said his prayers are with people who are still battling the deadly virus. "We can never forget all of you far away from Pakistan who continue to do us proud and are our greatest asset, playing a critical role in Pakistan's development through remittances and charity work," the premier added.
My prayers also for early recovery of those still battling COVID19. You are all in our prayers. We can never forget all of you far away from Pak who continue to do us proud & are our greatest asset, playing a critical role in Pak's development through remittances & charity work.
