Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif consulted his legal team over the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summons issued for appearance on Wednesday (today).
Sources claimed that Shehbaz discussed different options with his legal team. He discussed NAB assertion that it would take legal action against him if he failed to appear before the bureau on April 22.
NAB had earlier called Shehbaz Sharif on April 17 in the money-laundering investigations, but he skipped his appearance stating that he was a 69-year-old cancer survivor, and medical professionals had advised him to restrict his movement due to life-threatening risks associated with the disease. NAB in its summons had asked Shehbaz to provide details of properties inherited by the PML-N leader.
The sources in the PML-N claimed that Shehbaz has asked his party leaders to thoroughly focus on the anti-government narrative.
