Al-Khidmat Foundation Sindh has distributed food and medical goods worth Rs 150 million among 150,000 families across Sindh during the coronavirus pandemic.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday at Karachi Press Club, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh and Patron-in-Chief Al-Khidmat Foundation Muhammad Hussain Mehanti informed that during the Coronavirus Relief work, Al-Khidmat Foundation Sindh has provided some 28,300 personal protective clothing, some 255,000 masks and 60,000 sanitizers to doctors and other paramedical staff in the hospitals of the province.
"Thousands of Al-Khidmat workers are busy in relief activity across Sindh and distributed cooked food to five thousand people and fumigation in the 12,000 places including Mosques, hospitals, temples and churches", he added. He informed that all office of the Jamaat-e-Islami has been transformed into the Corona Relief Centre. In addition, JI Youth has arranged a number of blood donation camps and arranged hundreds of blood bottles for thalassima patients.
Mehanti said that Al-Khidmat Foundation has also carried out Coronavirus awareness program under which thousands of handbills were distributed and banner and hoardings were displayed in Sindh.
In this campaign, more than 10,000 of our workers are delicately busy in relief work day and night to serve humanity.
