Kashmir dropped a stripped-down version of their song ‘Faislay’ this week, an original by the band recorded and filmed while the members socially distance in their homes.
The group first performed 'Faislay' on Pepsi Battle of the Bands, during the show's second season in 2017, but didn't put it on their debut album. The song has been released for now on their social media platforms and YouTube.
The track features Bilal Ali's smooth, soaring vocals, and Ali Raza on the piano and rubab really brings it all together. Listen to it here.

Talking about the release of the song, the band said, “Faislay is a song we composed and wrote long before taking part in Pepsi Battle of the Bands. The funny story is, when we were put into the danger zone, we decided to play this song without any prior practice for months. It was impromptu and straight from the heart. So here’s a stripped-down version, planned, but still straight from the heart.”
Kashmir also recently released their debut album, titled Khwaab.
